Sticking with it

I'm sorry I've been absent. A late summer bug has run through our house and it's been my turn to have it this past week.

Have you ever noticed that things happen to get you side tracked?

Since the beginning of the year, I have felt like this year had something big and wonderful in store for me. I started the year out with tapping and concentrating on living in the 'certain way' (as Wallace Wattles puts it). And then I got sick. I thought it was just a cold but I hadn't felt that miserable in years. It lasted for a couple of weeks.

Well, during that time all I wanted to do was sleep. Aside from taking care of my family, that's all I did do. I let the tapping and working towards the life I wanted fall by the side. As I felt better, I got back into the self improvement things I had been doing but not with the fire I had felt before.

Then recently I've felt the fire come back and the feeling of something big and wonderful happening has returned. And here I am sick again.

I've decided that this is some kind of self sabotage. Do I allow my body to become sick to stop me from something big and wonderful happening in my life because I'm afraid of the changes it might bring? Or do I feel like I am unworthy of something that good? Is it a test from the Universe to see if I mean it when I ask for wonderful things?

This time around, even though I have felt terrible, I have continued with my tapping and I have continued in my inspired action. If it is a test, I've decided that I am passing with flying colors and that I am worthy of wonderful things and I am open to receiving them.

Has anyone else noticed this type of thing? I wonder, also, if my body is clearing itself as I clear the clutter and unwanted/un-useful paradigms in my conscious and subconscious mind.

You Are Worthy

I've been struggling with my own worthiness for some time now. I think it's a feeling that we all struggle with at some time or another. I finally did some tapping on it this morning and had a big break through.

I tapped along to this video by Brad Yates.

I really felt a shift after tapping through this. I look forward to seeing the new and wonderful changes that this shift will manifest in my life.

If you're questioning your worthiness right now, give this tapping a try. If you've never tapped before, just follow along with what he's doing in the video. It's so simple yet so effective.

Concious Creation

Conscious creation is the process of making a conscious effort to create the life you want. It's more than just changing your life. It's creating your own reality. We each have our own reality that other people don't really know or understand, and we each have the ability to create that reality into anything we want.

Every morning when we get out of bed, we set into motion the creation of our reality, good or bad. And through conscious creation, we can shift that reality in either a better or worse direction. It's a choice that we make...daily, sometimes even by the hour or minute.

At the heart of this was of living is the belief that we all create our own reality, even if we don't realize it. So that when something bad happens to you, it was actually your choice to have that thing happen. Even if it was an unknowing choice. That IS the Law of Attraction.

If you suffer serious illness, you have brought that into your life though choice, whether you know it or not. This is where many people have a problem with the LOA. However, what occupies your mind is what you bring into your life, good or bad. Like I've said before, if you are afraid of having cancer and worry about it often, and that fear causes you to make certain choices in your life, like the things you eat, etc., then that fear is occupying your conscious mind AND your subconscious mind. It is in this way that the very thing you fear, you are bringing into your life/reality. But, by gaining control of your thoughts, you can change things and bring what you truly want into you reality, whether it's health, prosperity, or overall happiness.

The first step in creating your own reality is through your beliefs. Let's say that right now you believe that most people are selfish and only out to get what they can for themselves without regards to other people. Your belief is creating that reality in your life, so most people in your life will be just this way.

If you shift your belief to one that says that most people are good at heart and want to do the right thing, most people in your life will fit that description. If you belief that you will never get out of debt, you probably never will. But, if you wake up each day using conscious creation to believe that you will have financial freedom, you can make it happen, thus shifting your reality.

It often helps to make a visual representation of your goal. For example, if one of your goals is to own a certain kind of car, then find a picture of it and place it where you will see it often, like on the refrigerator, bathroom mirror, or cabinet door. Looking at it daily and feeling the true feelings of having it now will help to keep this goal active in your mind, thus keeping it coming to you. To work with several goals at the same time, you can use a presentation board or a photo album to organize your goals and keep them present in your conscious thoughts daily. The 'system' you use doesn't matter. It only matters that you use what works to keep your focus positive and on the life you truly desire.

Letting go of Procrastination

I know that for me, all too often I fail to act. I'm full of great ideas. Sometimes they keep me awake at night as I work them all out in my mind. I decide on each step that should be taken along the way and how each action should work.

And that's where it ends. I think about it and think about it until a new 'great idea' takes its place and the whole process repeats. There is far too little inspired action.

Sometimes I do take action, but those times are too few and much too far between. I get stuck somewhere between fear, laziness, and overwhelm.

I've tapped along with Brad Yates on several different things, but I've recently started following along as he taps through letting go of the fear and procrastination. I started doing it in the mornings before work and then in the afternoon on my way home. It has really helped to be more motivated and to get things done. And when you're taking action and getting things done, even if it is cleaning your house, that action matters. There isn't one grand action that will bring your desires, but there needs to be action. Even if it doesn't make sense to you and you can't see how it relates to your desires, still take action. You may need other things in your life in order before the good you want in your life is able to come to you.

So, here, give it a try:

And if you have the time, look at his other videos. I love his soft spoken style, the way he often includes a little humor, and especially how I feel after a round of tapping.

Now, don't put it off. At least take this one step of action. Who knows where it may lead you next.
